Two Continents - One Team

The Kenyan organisation „EFYE CBO“, under the leadership of the two founders Frank and Denis, is responsible for our on-site educational work with children and adolescents. As the partner organisation in Germany, the non-profit association „EFYE e.V.“ is, among other things, responsible for generating financial resources. Despite our spatial separation, we work closely together and ensure a continuous exchange in order to achieve high quality and long-term effectiveness. We support each other and work together on the continuous development of our organisation.

As a non-profit organisation, the team in Kenya takes care of the development, organisation and administration of our entire educational work. This includes, amongst others, the management, support and training of our school staff, the implementation of the school curriculum including examinations, the design and implementation of extracurricular projects, providing daily nutrition, the strengthening of the physical and psychological health of the students, communication and cooperation with family members, accounting, set up and maintenance of our premises including the inventory, purchasing school material, cooperating with local government representatives and other potential supporters, as well as further developing the quality and quantity of our educational work.

EFYE e.V., Germany

Apart from being involved in creating new project ideas, concepts and development opportunities for our educational work in Kenya, and working on awareness in Germany by promoting intercultural exchange, our non-profit association is particularly responsible for the funding of our educational work in Kenya. Tasks of the EFYE e.V. include, amongst others, generating direct donations from private and institutional supporters, organising fundraising activities and events, designing and maintaining our online platforms such as the website and social media channels, preparation of information material on our work in Kenya, and the donations administration including issuing donation receipts.
